Fighting sleep at 5 weeks

Is anyone else having trouble with their LO fighting sleep? My son has either been on boob, feeding from a bottle (I’ve started pumping) or screaming at me all evening. I live with my parents so my dad has told me to get some rest while he watches him as he isn’t due a feed for around an hour or so but I’m exhausted...

Cluster feeding

My baby (8days old) has been cluster feeding almost all day and hasn’t stopped for the past 5 hours (apart from to be changed). When he eventually does sleep, do I still need to wake him to be fed after 3/4 hrs? Or will he have had enough today?

Sleep training

Anyone tried the pick up-put down method? If so, does it work? I can't do the "cry it out", I don't have it me! But I'm desperate to try some form of sleep training. Currently, he feeds to sleep (formula fed), or likes to be swayed. He also has a dummy. But he's getting me up 4/5 times a night for re-settling snd I...

Low supply mamas!

I'm 3 weeks post partum. I've had a low supply from the beginning but the amount seems to be decreasing each pump session. I'd love to continue providing any amount possible for my son. I am supplementing with formula too. Any tips how to keep the milk flowing?

Any mum with 2 under 2 or considering having another baby already?

Hi mamas, my daughter is turning 9 months soon and me and my husband have started considering to try for a second baby because we both want them close in age and we want only 2 kids so it would make sense and i would rather do the whole newborn / prior to toddler “phase”, “struggle” etc in one go rather than wait so...

Increasing breast milk supply

I want my little one to take expressed breast milk to nursery but I'm finding it hard to express much these days presumably as my milk supply has decreased with time as she feeds less. Any tips for increasing my supply so I can pump more???

Help - Little one loves a sleep bag!

Hello! I wonder if anyone can help.....my LG loves her sleep bag. It seems she sees it as a queue for sleep.....but now the weather is warmer I tried to put her down in just a vest (the room was about 25 degrees) and she seemed asleep and content but as soon as I moved her to her next to me she just screamed. Even p...

Screaming to sleep.

I first want to state that we’ve never used the “cry it out” method. But does anyone else’s little one weird and have to scream and shout to let you know they are frustrated about being sleepy before falling asleep ?? We can put a bottle in their mouth, give them cuddles or anything else and they still just scream ...

How are people handling tantrums?

My girl can throw a good one! How are people going about dealing with them? I’m not sure if I’m doing the right thing - we distract, redirect. She will also pinch and sometimes bite when another takes her toy or she can’t articulate what she’s wanting. I’m so fucking tired of the whining and body throwing 😬 I get…

Baby dropped percentiles

7 week baby boy dropped from 46th to 34th percentile. Is that normal? He seems to have reflux and sometimes vomits a lot of curdled milk but up until now there has been no concern from the midwife or family doc. He’s gaining weight and gained around 600grams in 20 days but the percentile dropped so I’m getting worr...

Naps

Storing milk before freezing

I want to collect some milk overnight by expressing a little to relieve engorgement. I was thinking to pop it in the fridge and then I want to mix it together and freeze it in a bag in the morning. However, is that ok to keep it in the fridge for few hours before freezing?

8 month old just won’t sleep at night

Desperately trying to figure out what is wrong, or what I’m doing wrong. My 8 month old used to sleep so well, in their own cot, for a 7-8 hour stint, have a feed and back down. For the last month, I don’t think I’ve got more than 3 hours sleep a night. Baby just will not stay in their cot for more than 5 mins. Unle...

Drinking alcohol with a breastfed baby

So I’m just wondering what people do when drinking alcohol whilst having a breastfed baby do they pump to make enough milk whilst they’re drinking? Do they sell breastfeed whilst drinking making sure that they’re not pissed whilst breastfeeding? How much alcohol actually goes into a breastfeed baby ?

Milk has come in!

So my milk has just come in and my boobs are rock hard, leaking and sooooo sore. I am offering my baby breast at every feed but he isn’t really taking it at the moment. I don’t have a breast pump yet. If I wait a few days is the pain going to get worse??
