Did any of your doctors say that it’s okay to have red wine during your pregnancy?? Just curious if anyone’s actual doctors said this was okay??

No amount of alcohol is documented as actually being safe to consume during pregnancy, as there has never been a minimum threshold determined for how much alcohol leads to side effects like ARNID and FAS. Which sucks because, honestly, I'd probably be willing to sacrifice my pinky toe for some strawberry Moscato since it's all I've been craving for 2 weeks straight now 😭

@Cayce / Cass I am aware of this, and that’s why concerned that a dr would say this is okay..

Technically a dr would never tell you it’s okay. But practically, one glass of wine every now and then isn’t going to hurt you or baby.

@Yolanda doctors are people. Sometimes, you'll find a doctor or two that have opinions that aren't necessarily based on solid peer reviewed research but rather personal belief/opinion.

No alcohol is good during pregnancy

@Cara the majority of doctors wouldn't recommend it as sources like the CDC, NIH, AAP, and ACOG all state that *no* amount of alcohol is safe during pregnancy, including wine.

My cousins doctor told her it was okay to drink a small glass of red wine whenever she felt a craving for it during her pregnancy. I was shocked but that’s what he said!

No

There’s not enough studies or evidence to say how much alcohol is or isn’t ok during pregnancy, but my boss’s wife was “allowed” a glass of red wine a day as indicated by her doctor. I think most doctors will just say it’s not safe because it’s too much of a liability.
