What if a guy calls you a Bitch but he claims he is playing?

I never tolerate anything like this. This is new to me. I start talking to a guy, and then I play with him in conversation. He then calls me a bitch, claims he is playing. I say this is not going to work out. You've disrespected me. He claims it's not disrespectful. He is just playing telling me to calm down. No, I'm not going to calm down. Bye. I demand respect playing or not,you don't call a woman a bitch. Do you think this is grounds for not speaking to him anymore?
