Teacher dating parent?
I recently joined an online dating app and I am a preK teacher. One of my student’s father saw me on the app and messaged me. Im interested in him but I work with his family member and my boss is his family friend. I feel like it would be awkward. Should I pursue him or just let it go….?

I agree with the comment above. It’s too messy of a situation to date a current student’s parent. It’s definitely an awkward situation and you don’t want to put your job on the line.
No, that's weird. There have to be other options out there 😭 date someone else or find a new job.
I’ve worked with families in schools and as a nanny. Sharing how I would look at it. I would listen to my gut, think about pros and cons, potential scenarios, how it might affect the students and school community. If any part of me felt uncomfortable or awkward about it, I would let it go. Generally though I wouldn’t date a students parent. I might consider it if I no longer worked at the school and was not that students teacher anymore
