Babys are intuitive eaters! Aside from a very very few medical issues, they literally cannot over eat, so basically he's just a food lover and you're giving him some yummy meals. Don't stress it x
At my son’s 9 month review my HV said I was over feeding him. He isn’t eating solids (potentially ARFID and being seen by speech and language & dietician for his food refusal) and was only on 4 x 6oz bottles in 24 hours. She said apparently that was way too much so I’ve had to cut him to 3 bottles which he wasn’t too happy about. All the people we’ve seen regarding his eating said that at 10 months, the portion size should be 4-5 tablespoons with a small dessert (like baby yogurt etc) and that’s what we’re building up to. Xx
My LO is 30th centile and eats enough food to choke a horse! She’s still very petite though and just in 6-9 months clothing. Babies eat intuitively and know what they need, if they’re not bringing it back up or in any discomfort, I would personally offer until they show fullness cues x
My son eats a lot, had a 30g portion of readybrek yesterday and ate it all! Ate all his dinner to, with fruit and then a big bowl of yoghurt - HV was happy last time we were there :)
Speak with HV but I wouldn't worry too much, not at this age. My LG was eating loads then got poorly and had no appetite, so I'd much prefer a chunkier baby that's got reserves if they are poorly!
