ECV?

Just after a bit of advice, went for an extra scan due to reduced movements on 2 occasions landing us in pregnancy assessment but then no concerns once on the monitor. Baby has turned and is now breech, going back next week at 36 weeks for a presentation scan. Basically just wondering if anyone has any positive experiences with ECV procedure?

Do lots of spinning babies exercises and curb walking. I was seen at 36 weeks and baby was breech, although had been had down since 20 weeks. I felt they had flipped and head was up. Went crazy with the curb walking and spinning babies. Had the ecv booked for 37+3 and the found baby head down and still has been (now 38+4).

If you search ecv on here some people have put their experiences and it really helped me when i thought i was having one

Hey, I had one at 37 weeks as baby was breech and no amount of spinning babies had worked. The staff were amazing. Not going to lie, it was painful and I was struggling but the midwife was great at helping me cope by using my breathing. They only try for three minutes with a break in between each, so you get to recover a little, and you can always ask them to stop at any time. In hindsight, I should have taken some of my music or breathing/relaxation tracks with me. I think a lot of people only find it uncomfortable rather than painful so it doesn't have to be so intense. In my case the ECV didn't work but I'm glad I gave it a go. It was three minutes of pain that could have helped me avoid a C-section. Also found it quite cool to see the baby's heartbeat and movements tracked when they were monitoring me before and after - I could lots of smaller movements picked up by the machine compare to the ones that I could feel, which were the bigger ones.

@Lucía thank you so much that’s really helpful, going to see what they say next week but I think I’m the same would like to give it a try!

Good luck! Hope baby turns back head down x
