Gestational diabetes could be controlled with metformin, plus you also have to control it on your end as well.
My sugar levels are always very high and baby measured big but they still decided to induce me in 39 weeks or if c section in 39+5 week.
So don't worry, They aslo dont take risk with your health and baby. Just keep the track of baby movements.

In this type of situation, can we request for C section directly? I mean without trying to induce?

yes you can request but they will still increase the dose of metformin, if not controlled they will offer you insulin, also it depends on the hospital if they have slot available for c section they can give u the date after 38 weeks.

Currently going through the exact same thing now. I was told at my hospital that they don’t push for C-section as a reason for diabetes but depends on the overall weight of the baby. But you can still have a C-section if that’s what you want.

I’ve also been told still a possibility of me having a spontaneous birth and have no problem as my babies weight is normal just the tummy is big.

I think it’s overall so hard with GD birth plans because it depends on medication, overall weight of the baby , head to ac ratio, and at what stage you were diagnosed x

Feel free to dm me if you have any questions x

Is this normal?

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)
Thank you in advance! πŸ₯°

Anyone else felt like this?

Hi, I’m 4 months postpartum, little one sleeps through the night and is formula fed, the last week I’ve felt extremely tired and very hungry! Just wondered if anyone else has felt this way/experienced this?

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?
