Routine

Are any EBF mummies able to get into any routine with their babies? Are they going regularly a similar amount of time throughout the day? Baby is 6 weeks and every feed throughout the day is completely different in terms of times In between feeds

I’m EBF and every day is still so different for us and feeding, with my LO usually feeding anywhere in between 1.5-3 hours (sometimes even less) x

@Elisha ah yes that’s similar timings to us although the odd 45 min stint. So difficult to plan to leave the house 😂

EBF and no routine over here either. We’re feeding all over the place !

Isn’t it just! This week is the first time I’ve plucked up the courage to go out further than a walk/local shop, as I was so worried about her needing to feed before and would avoid going out 😅 I’ve just been getting her on the boob before leaving the house and hoping for the best 😂 but I wore a nursing bra and a baggy top today and fed for the first time in public - nobody battered an eyelid which really eased my anxiety and deffo made me feel more confident to leave the house again!

Honestly no one cares if you're feeding and if they do they can 'go forth and multiply' and I would tell them as such. I've been out and about with my 6 week old since the first week and feed on demand, no real routine at the moment. A week ago I fed while walking through the high street of a major tourist city 😂 and today I fed holding her with one hand while pushing the buggy with the other in town and into the pharmacy to pick up a prescription! There have been 2 times I felt too uncomfortable to and that was with young men I know at the start when I was still getting used to getting her on without flashing the entire world, now I can do it without being quite so obvious.

@Elisha same as carys says I walk along the street, round shops etc with bubs on my boob. No ones bothered and yeh if they who cares? It's natural and beautiful xxx

@Lorna I 100% agree with you!! I just know for myself it was quite anxiety provoking to begin with but just wanted to mention it to highlight that it definitely helps just going out and doing it x

@Elisha and good for u to just get out, especially now the sun's shining. I have 3 under 6 and when I've had a terrible morning I just get out for a little walk, always feel better after. Take care of urself too xxx

Looking forward to getting my first go public breastfeeding done as think once it’s done will have less anxiety about it and leaving the house without making sure baby has a potential full belly 😂

Every 2 hours during the day! Like to the minute lol. 3-4 hours at night xx

Mines almost 5 weeks old and feeding is completely random. If I want to go out I just do it after a change and feed, unless it's for a specific time then I just have to go with the flow. I don't feel bad about breastfeeding in public but I do feel embarrassed in front of male family like my uncle or father in law lol x
