For me personally I didn't have any pain, just felt like i needed the loo when they put the dye in. My tubes were clear, I believe if there is blockage it can be uncomfortable. I didn't bleed after either
I had this done too and I normally have a high pain threshold. The best way I can describe it is intense period pains hitting you without any warning whatsoever!! I would 100% take paracetamol half an hour before your appointment. I had booked the day off work because I didn’t know how uncomfortable it was going to be. Luckily I did!
Thanks ladies!! I might book the day half day off work 🙈 I’m so anxious I have endometriosis, so I’m worried the pain might be bad!!
@Thameena were you able to go back to work the next day?
Yesss, I was okay the next day. Everything just felt really achey after the HSG so I rested for the evening. I hope it goes well for you! X
I would take some paracetamol shortly before you go. It can be a bit uncomfortable, so it might be worth having the day off. I had some cramping afterwards
