Mental health post birth

So I gave birth almost 2 weeks ago and ever since felt amazing! I've not felt so good in years and was absolutely loving everything. However from last night I've been feeling sad, having really negative thoughts and honestly feeling just how I was before birth but now got a little baby to care for. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I've a doctors appointment on Friday but I feel like they aren't taking me seriously already 😔

I was on the high for 4 months and lost it. 15 months now and I still don’t have the glow anymore

Hey 👋 it’s such a tough thing, like whether it’s baby blues or PPD I can’t say but there are so many ups and downs the first year. And honestly for me the first few months are the hardest because once you figure out a routine or something that works it changes. So for like your mood, you know yourself best, and you know what fills you up, write those things down and try to set small goals to do some of those things. For instance, like getting on a 20 minute walk could be a way to get out doors and get some vitamin D. Maybe set aside 10 minutes if your baby’s nap time to call a friend or your mom, and just pause on chores etc. so things you can manage that you know make you feel better in general. Controlling negative thoughts is hard but the better you feel the better you’ll be so filling your time and mind with positive things can help with that. Asking for help to get a break is also very good, not something we always want to do but can really help. God bless!
