Ovulation

I'm on my third cycle using ovulation tests and I still haven't had any positive results. I don't even get a t/c ratio reading. I'm really starting to worry that my body isn't ovulating. I'm 32 and close to panic mode. Any advice or next steps?

Are your cycles regular? Do you have any photos of the tests you’ve done 😊 xx

Do you have photos?

Get bloods done

Just ask your GP to do your bloods. Easy :) They monitor progesterone on certain days but a full set of bloods is a great idea too for a full picture. Give them a call 😊

Ask the GP for a day 21 progesterone blood test.

Which tests are you using? How often are you testing? Do you have regular periods? Of you can share a screenshot of your tests from a cycle that would be helpful

@Stephanie firstly I would ditch these ovulation tests, they're rubbish and lines never get very dark on them. Get a box of easy@home as the app is designed to be used with them. If you have any other clues that ovulation is near like egg white cervical mucus or ovary pain then that would help narrow down a fertile window. Ideally you should be testing 2-3 times per day in the fertile window to find your peak, avoiding FMU. lunchtime, when you get home, and dinner time would be ok. The day 21 blood test checks to see if you have ovulated but doesn't pin point when so it can be helpful but won't necessarily have all the answers. Good luck

@Charley I disagree that these are rubbish, I use these and always find a strong peak

@Rebecca I'm glad they work for you, I've seen lots of people say they're not good and lines do not get as dark as other brands, myself included

I switched to the clear blue ones they’re more expensive but you just get a smiley face when you’re ovulating and I find them so much easier to read 😂

@Charley thanks. I've just ordered some of the easy@home ones. Fingers crossed for more luck in my next cycle

It sounds really frustrating to not see the results you’re hoping for with your ovulation tests. If you haven’t already, consider testing twice a day during your expected fertile window as the LH surge can be really brief. Also, if you’re using the tests at the same time each day and not after drinking a lot of fluids, it might help to try a different brand of test. If the issue continues, it could be really beneficial to talk to a healthcare provider for further evaluation and to explore other fertility diagnostics. Hang in there!

Maybe try a different brand of tests! I also realize that my lines are much more clear on the tests if I do them first thing in the morning. Probably because I drink a lot of water.

Oh my goodness. The difference is shocking! Not only do I have a line today but I could see it within the first 60 seconds of the test! Goodbye anxiety of having no eggs left! Thank you all so much for the advice! 🥰 Feeling hopeful again.

@Stephanie it’s likely that you do have eggs, but even more likely now! LOVE THIS FOR YOU!!!! congratulations!!!!
