So I have a pretty unique situation going on. I used to have the Skyla IUD. I got it taken out in June 2022. Got pregnant with my daughter end of November, beginning of December. Right after my 6 week checkup after giving birth, I got the Mirena put in. So around sometime in September. 19th of April, I got it taken out. I've never had a period with either IUDs so I'm not sure when it'll actually returned. After getting the Mirena out, I actually took exactly a week worth of the birth control pill before stopping. I put in my period tracker app the last known period I had (which was November 17th 2022) and it says according to that, my period should have been started today. We've decided to not really try for baby #2 but also not prevent it. So if it happens it happens. But a big part of me wants it to happen right now. I've read on Google that the first week you start on the pill, it won't work yet like it takes a week to start actually protecting you from getting pregnant so they say to use a condom or something with that first week. We had sex one of the days in that week, not condom. Lately, I've been feeling really tender in my left boob like I couldn't even lay on that side it hurt so bad. And a slight cramping lower left. Could it be implantation?

It’s possible. But for pills I think they start working after like 48 hours so it could just be a period about to start or it could be pregnancy. Maybe take a test in a few days or week and see and then just wait to see if you get a period. Did you continue taking the pills or did you just take them for a week and stop?

@Gabrielle I only took them for starting on April 21st and then the last one I took was the 27th. So a whole week worth then stopped.

I had sex on either the 25th or 26th, no protection. Just the pill.
