Works in Spanish and English, and a classic. I don’t think kids know Felix the cat anymore anyhow. I’d do it.

Lovely name! Don’t let anyone put you off… it’s about you and your husband, no one else! If they don’t have anything nice to say tell them to keep their opinions to themself! I’m sure once he is here you will look at him and just know! ❤️❤️

I like it. I’m in the US, so no cat food brands come to mind. Neither did Felix the cat. And plus, that cartoon is soooooo old, no children would even know it. I think it’s a nice name. There’s aren’t too many Felix’s that I know of.

Yep I like it too, as soon as you call your baby it they will relate the name to him not the cat. It’s just because that’s all they know in relation to the name xx

I really liked the name Felix but my husband didn't, the only other connotation I had with it was Saltburn

It’s a nice name, I think in this day and age the ‘unique’ names get slander and so do the ‘common’ ones, and everything is associated with something. I do agree some names are ridiculous and out there & it’s unfair to subject your child to bullying especially if it’s something they hold no control over. That being said, if you like it, go for it, felix really isn’t that far fetched! I didn’t name my son what I wanted due to people’s opinions and even though I love the name he does have, I sometimes wish I didn’t bother listening to people because I can almost guarantee they wouldn’t listen to me if roles were reversed.

In Canada I knew of a guy named Felix and honestly haven’t heard of the name since then! (I’m 29) and he used to work for my dad so was an older gentleman, but I like the name! I think that’s also why I haven’t shared our name with the family cuz I knew I couldn’t handle their opinions, but that’s just me! Go with the name, it’s your guys child no one else’s!

I love Felix

I love Felix. I do think of cats but I also know an absolutely lovely man called Felix... It's going to mean different things to everyone based on their past/knowledge, but kids are unlikely to know that cartoon these days so not an obvious source of bullying. If you love it, go for it.
