Waters breaking?

I’ve tried to call the after hours line twice and it’s giving us problems and can’t get a hold of anybody! Hopefully someone can call me back soon, in the meantime maybe someone has had a similar experience? I went to the toilet to pee and it felt like I needed to more so then a gush came out but then when it stopped another gush came out. I got up and thought that was weird so sat back on the toilet to see if I needed to pee more and a little more fluid came out (pale yellow, odourless and some mucus discharge in the toilet). How do I know it’s just pee or if it’s actually my waters breaking? I’m 39+6 weeks pregnant. TIA 🩷

Note the time of it happening and see if you start getting contractions.

If it was your water breaking, you don't want to go more than 24 hours before going to the hospital as it can increase risk of infection.

Best way would be put a pad on. Lay on your side for 15-20mins then get up. See if your dad gets soaked enough. If so most likely fluid. Saying that I yoo gave though water broke but turned out baby was just pushing on my bladder so each time I sit more would come out..

Thank you! 😊
