Help! LH levels and pregnancy

Does anyone know if LH levels can be high if pregnant? I’m not sure if I’m pregnant, and I’ve been tracking my ovulation but I just got a higher level and not sure what’s going on.

Yes! HCG can be mistaken for LH on an ovulation test. If you’re well past your ovulation day and still getting a positive ovulation test or it seems like it’s rising again, you could be pregnant!

Thank you! I’ll test in the morning to see if a result pops up. My husband came in me at like 2 am this morning, could this have affected the level? The last time we had sex and we’re trying was the 21st of April.

Wait, but you ovulated on the 30? Did you only have sex on the 21st? If so I don’t think that’s close enough to ovulation to get pregnant. That’s 9 days between sex and ovulation

@Hannah yeah it says I did, I didn’t think it was close either, it can be possible that we had sex another time after the 21st and I didn’t log it. I’m not sure tho. I’m usually kinda accurate with logging those days that we tried

Ok. Yeah if that’s the time you ovulated, and it looks like it is. You would’ve had to have sex within 5 days either before or after. If the 21st is the only day you had sex you’re likely not pregnant since sperm can only survive up to 5 days. If you’re trying to get pregnant try having sex at least every 3 days the week leading up to your ovulation, and especially the day of!

Do you have irregular cycles?

@Hannah thank you!

@Hannah sometimes I’m late by 4-5 days. The last few cycles have been like that. I do have pcos and a 11 month old, so I’m trying to make sure I’m ovulating

I was going to ask if you had pcos. You could be ovulating again!

@Hannah hmm ok good to know and to look out for, I honestly never even thought that could be happening lol thanks again!

What app is this? I'm confused at the numbers because you have high numbers with the test line being not as dark as the control line

Could be a lil bit high the days before your period comes

Yes defo can. Thats how I found out I was pregnant. I was 9dpo xx

The test CD16 is not positive or peak, it’s likely you’re going to ovulate now

LH rises just before period is due. Also if your body fails to ovulate it can rise again. PCOS can cause persistently high LH. LH tests may sometimes pick up HCG because they are very similar chemically. There's lots of things that could be causing this I don't think anyone can give you a straight answer I'm afraid

Looks like you haven’t ovulated yet for what I can see in the picture, so you are probably approaching your peak now

@Stephanie this is the premom app

Based on your cycle date here, it’d be ovulation?

The test lines on all of the tests are significantly lighter to me for the numbers to be reading so high..

Yes that one is for sure high. Good luck!!!

@Stephanie thank you! I also just tested about 40 minutes ago and it was the same result! It actually looked a bit darker
