Too much fetal movement?

I am constantly worrying about too much or too little in 3rd trimester. I know to be aware of decreased movement and now I’m hearing a lot about increased. Baby is very active sometimes what seems to be overly active so how can I tell if it’s alarming?!

There can never be to much movement but definitely can be to little do you have an app that has a kick counter in it??

There’s nothing like too much movements! It’s normal!

Look out for movement there are differently from your babys normal moving pattern. If you feel the baby is moving more or less than normal, you can speak to triage for reassurance. Trust your gut feeling!

Regular fetal movement is healthy. I think any concerns written about increased fetal movement would relate to a significant, abrupt increase in movement. But if that happened, I think it would strike you as something significantly different to just a healthy and active baby. I expect it’s also very rare. It’s hard not to worry all the time at this stage. Raise any concerns with triage/midwives - it’s common to contact them at this stage. Try to relax - and good luck.

Definitely nothing bad with lots of movement from baby, I feel like most concerning is reduced! X

No there’s never enough movement. My first born was always moving he was insane and I worried so much but the drs all said it’s a really great sign, the best sign they look for. My son isn’t a hyperactive boy either so it’s not a sign of their behaviour in the future necessarily either. Anyway basically a baby on the move a lot in the womb is exactly what you want :)
