Sugar free vanilla cake for baby’s first birthday?

We’re doing a smash the cake photoshoot and I’m no baker at all! Wonder if there are any cake mixes sugar free (uk)? Or if anyone has an easy recipe? Thank you 🙏🙏

I’m not sure, I wouldn’t really trust cake mixes. But you can make a banana cake. Banana is sweet and replaces the sugar x

Following as I was about to ask the exact same question 😅

I’m planning on trying the cake from the what mummy makes cookbook - it’s not entirely sugar free but it’s lower in sugar overall, uses apple puree as well as a lower amount of sugar. Might go for a practise run this weekend.

@Charlotte can you please share the recipe with us?

Not sure if you have it in the UK but the brand lakanto has a monk fruit sweetener lime and they do box cake mixes. It’s a sugar free mix.

@Charlotte thank you 😍

We used a normal small sprinkle cake from M&S. pictures came out fab and she barely ate much of it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Pinterest has some food ideas

Just do a banana cake! Mashed up banana with almond flour and egg. I wouldn't do any cake mix, I would worry about not just sugar but all the chemicals in them. I think sweeteners are even worse

@Evelyn does it get fluffy? As in he needs to smash the cake 😂

Haha it's a little on the crumbly side~ and pretty wet
