Maternity
So I'm on holiday at leave at work but have been booked in for an induction a week before my due date.
I had to claim maternity allowance as I hadn't been at the job long enough when I found out I was pregnant...do I still have to tell work? Or can I just wait out the week for holiday pay?

They don't need to cover it, my cover starts next week. I booked holiday before my due date. I'm thinking of not letting them know so I can get more holiday pay in my next payslip
Maternity allowance starts from when baby is born, you have to let the maternity allowance people know once baby arrives, technically maternity leave starts when baby arrives as well, so you wouldn't be able to get holiday pay if that makes sense?

I think you will still need to let them know whether you are getting your mat allowance from them or not plus it gives then chance to cover. Is there any reason not to tell them? Hope it goes well!
