Strange movements

I’m 25+4 and normally have a right wriggle bum really strong movements. Today not so much. He has moved the tiniest bit but when he does it feels very much weakened and like you wouldn’t notice if you wasn’t paying attention. I’ve had some chocolate and some fizzy and a fry up on the way. If I don’t feel him move after I’ve eaten my meal should I call triage? Not sure on what to do!!

Defo call up triage better to be safe x

Call them definitely just incase but I had 2 days where they felt not as strong and hardly no where near enough usual moments but also my bladder felt like it was getting pushed on all the time and kept needing to go toilet and sometimes couldn’t go I think the baby was in a funny position or maybe a position I am not used to because it’s stopped doing it now and I feel them normal again but I was already booked in with my midwife who did the heart beat and everything was fine

Call triage for peace of mind, but they will most likely tell you what I’m about to. My midwife (and my mum who is a midwife) told me not to bother worrying/stressing about movement patterns until 28 weeks. I have had the same thing happening to me, we would have the exact same due date 13 aug? im also 25+4. My boy moves like crazy some days 200 kicks in one day. then other days i feel maybe 10 kicks. it was really worrying me so I asked my mgp midwife and she said dont even stress, its good to get to know their pattern before 28 weeks but it can be very sporadic before 28. Hope this eases your mind, most likely your bubba is absolutely fine but please call triage if you are heaps stressed, just know my boy has done the same for weeks now, moving heaps one day then radio silent the next

i’ve been having the exact same problem!! movements feel weakened but also different, i had my midwife appointment yesterday and she could hear and feel baby kicking the doppler and heartbeat was perfect but i couldn’t feel the kicks unless i really concentrated on feeling them.. was so odd! i keep wondering whether to ring up as well but think im being silly if midwife yesterday said she’s ok

@Anna I’m due the 14th. Think my Flo app counts the days wrong lol. He’s been moving a little bit more now so I think it’s all good. But yeah this is the first time it’s been like this. He’s been so active since like 18 weeks. So just panicked me lol. But it’s not like he’s not moving because he is. I’ll just keep eye on it. Thankyou xx

I had this experience yesterday lovely. Speak to your health care provider to double check 🩵 Turns out, my baby was in a different position so I couldn't feel the movement 😊 Better to be safe than sorry xxx

I’m also 25+4 and today I’ve been having the same thing happen to me . I think it’s normal but if you’re worried I’d definitely call or go into triage just for that peace of mind

I’m 25+2 and mines the same until the evening. I’ve got midwife on Tuesday so I’m not too worried as I still feel him and have had no other signs of anything being wrong. If it was a whole day gone by with hardly anything I’d worry but I think I’m just getting so used to it now sometimes I’m thinking it’s slower or weaker xx

This is around the time when baby gets bigger and the space is becoming more cramped.

I had a similar thing and saw my midwife, she said at the moment they still have lots of room to wiggle and could be sat really low which is why they feel weak, but if you're concerned definitely speak to triage x
