Bank Recommendations?

We are about to move to Houston and want to open a new bank account since our current one is based on Utah and doesn’t have locations in Texas. Does anyone have a recommendation for one that pays well for having money in savings and doesn’t charge fees for using them?

I don't really recommend Bank of America. Currently looking for a better one.

I think credit unions are better.

We use Navy Federal credit union and Chase bank.

Credit unions are good, I used Capital One and I heard Discovery is good too

Capital One doesn’t have overdraft fee and You can open both online before you leave

I’m no expert but Chase is good to me. I don’t have fees as long as I meet the balance minimum criteria (I’d do the research to see if you guys will before opening an account) I had capital one but they have literally NO locations here in Texas and they’re closing pretty much all so it’s hard to just go in

We use Navy Federal but my husband was also in the military so that’s why we were allowed to bank with them. If your not military but know someone who is, they can endorse you to bank there 🙂

Chase

I still use my old bank account from another state and im in tx... but use chase here which isn't bad at all
