The hardest part

The hardest part about being a SAHM is when my husband gets to do stuff after work while I'm still at home cooking, cleaning, and taking care of our kids who have been acting terrible recently. It's even harder because I know I have nowhere to go or any friends to hang out with. It's so easy to fall into a depression being alone all the time and knowing youre alone. I love my kids with all my heart but I don't get many breaks where I'm actually away from them or out of the house, it's exhausting.

You need to talk to your husband. He should most definitely understand the work you’re putting in and how exhausting it is to care for kids day and night. So have a conversation with him and you both should figure out something for you to be able to breath and have some me time. Being a mom and wife isn’t all you are

I feel you on the friends part for sure. I do miss the socializing part of working out of the home. I don't have any friends..

@✨Wis 🇭🇹 he fully understands how hard it is but I also understand he works hard and deserves to have a life outside of everything too. I have me time at the end of the day but some days it doesn't feel like enough. It just sucks seeing him get to have the freedom I wish to have sometimes. I love my role of mom and wife, but sometimes it's overwhelming and the last 3 days have been super overwhelming lol its all very up and down 😅

You need more then! Relationships are like 80/20 and it teeters back and forth between participants. If one person is struggling the other one needs to allow what the other needs

Well if he understands you should also have the fteedom to go out too. The same way he can stop somewhere after work you should be able to go out from time to time. You need it, unless he doesn’t give you the same grace?

@➳➳𝕊𝕒𝕞➳➳ I'm really bad at meeting my own needs, I get constantly burned out 😅

I wouldn’t stand for this tbh. My husband never goes out after work or anything. In our 3 years of marriage he has only once went to dinner with a friend alone (I was to tired to go) otherwise he stays home with me and helps out. He works 15+ hours days and still does the dishes, cleaning, vacuuming, pretty much everything other than cooking.

@Vanessa he still helps out, he doesn't go out often but he always seems to do it when it's inconvenient to me. It was only an hour, but it's a long hour for me 😅

True but an hour is still an hour to long

Oh heck naw my husband comes straight home from work and picks us up even if he just has to get gas😂 we talked about it though and I prayed for him to understand my heart. It’s been much better. Love to you and your family tho

@Sullivan it was right in the middle of me making dinner or else he would've 😅 I always tell him I love it when he's home for dinner but it never seems to happen. Between him working late, doing something after work, or being scheduled later in the night. My kids are usually never in clothes though (potty training toddler and messy baby) so it creates more work to leave for 5 minutes sometimes 😂
