Baby refuses to be put down

My 3 month old is going through a phase where he refuses to be put down. He is always on me - next to me is not enough for him. He starts to scream and cry as soon as I put him down. Anyone has experienced this? What to do?

Is he still being swaddled at night?

Yes!!! My daughter has never slept on her back.... Only on us

Your baby has spent 10 months inside your belly all the time its comfort at 3 months old your baby is still little and wants that comfort its ok for him to still want to be on you all the time i don't understand the rush moms have to be disconnected with their baby this phase only lasts a short time i miss when my little boy was on me all the time

Mine does okay if I sing and dance in front of her haha

Same for me. She gets frustrated lying on her back, but can't sit on her own. She also gets upset after only short amount of tummy time! I've learnt to do everything one-handed, and in ocassion I use the carrier if I need to be hands-free! Hopefully they grow our if it soon!

@Alison I feel sad seeing he is struggling with this. Also I need some time for myself for my mental health and not being able to put baby down is not good for my mental health- it’s not about rushing to disconnect with the baby. Please don’t be so judgmental

@Tiffani no he is not!

@Cecilia Try the magic Merlin suit! My baby was a "Velcro baby" too until I started using it. Now he sleeps independently!

Im not being judgmental your baby is only 3 months old and all of us mothers go through the same thing all of our mental health is challenged thats part of being a mother it will 100 percent get better ...my son had colic he screamed 24/7 for the first 6 months and i had zero help no family or friends close by to give me a break my husband works long hours. Its tough but we all get through it
