Any teeth? Maybe she’s hungry, wet or not settling well. My daughter doesn’t sleep well on nights she doesn’t eat as much

it could be that hes teething or a growth spurt but try your best to continue your routine. take shifts if possible with your partner. it might sound like a silly suggestion but if you can, invest in a color changing light bulb so it can switch to red for your night time routine. it supposedly helps in regulating melatonin production and helps prepare them for sleep. i did that with my son and he sleeps 8-12 hours a night now. im. not sure if it worked because of that or just because the red light helped him know it was bed time but it doesn’t hurt to try if you can!

but i always go through the list in my head if my baby doesn’t settle to sleep are they hungry? wet/dirty diaper? temperature? any discomfort? room too cold or hot? are they fussy bc they’re overstimulated? (loud noises, music, tv or busy day) any sickness/illness symptoms? teething symptoms? if all his needs are met and suddenly theyre fussy or clingy or both and its going on for several days and nothing you do helps…it may likely be a growth spurt which happens every so often. but it usually passes in a week or two.

I’ve read on many pages that although it’s not a regression as such, at 8 months babies learn so many motor skills that their sleep can be really disrupted, almost like the 4m sleep regression.

My little boy stopped sleeping well at 8 months as well as he had just had his first Christmas, so his bedtime had been different for a few nights & he had just learned to stand at 8 months as well. It lasted about 6 months. Got better again after we took down the side of his cot.

I can't tell you what's waking your LO for the obvious reason. However this may help explain the timing etc: https://www.babysleepsite.com/baby-sleep-patterns/baby-sleep-cycles-by-age-chart/
