Size up?

How do you know if baby needs to size up in diapers? When do you size up?

I usually go with the weight recommendation by the brand

When the tabs are too far apart, you experience leaks or blowouts regularly, the back of the diaper is getting low, or you notice your kid is filling a diaper quicker than before. I've never gone by weight as my kid is a low percentile for weight compared to height so always needs extra back coverage well before the tabs are an issue.

@Chrissy this

Most in the UK have little markers on the front. When the tabs no longer touch those you size up. Not sure if it’s like that elsewhere ☺️ learnt that on tiktok 😂

I use cloth so we never had to size up, but in disposables it’s when they leak, get poonamis, doesn’t seem to hold pee, leaves marks etc. what Chrissy said above. But yeah I use OSFM cloth which fits from 2m-3yrs
