Using monitor

Just curious - online says to always have baby sleep in same room day and night until 6 months. We have a solid bedtime routine and sleep routine but this isn’t until 9pm where we go up to bed with him. Has anyone put baby to bed earlier and used a monitor? My baby is 12 weeks today.

I have twice. We have a video monitor so can hear and see baby. My little one Is almost 11 weeks

I personally haven’t but that’s because we love going to bed early too! We tend to get our 16 week old up to bed somewhere between half 7-9 and atm that works for us as he falls asleep in my arms then I transfer him xx

Yeah I've got a camera but also have the owlet sock on her

We use a video monitor we put him down between 8:30 - 9:30 then go to bed ourselves about 10:30. It gives us time to reset the house and drink a hot cup of tea 😂

I have a 2 year old and 12 week old and they both go to their beds at 7pm and I come back downstairs and have the monitors on, I can’t keep the baby awake past 7 or she becomes very grumpy she just wants to go to bed and 7pm is just a bit early for me going to bed 😅 I’ve done that since about 8 weeks and did it with my first born too

Yes I do what Lisa above does!

My little one goes to bed at 8:30/9pm and I use the video monitor and then I go to bed at between 10/10:30 depending on her bottle time

My baby is 12 weeks on Saturday. He now goes down between 7 and 8 which is a bit early for us so I put him down and take the monitor down and have it on loud. I keep doors open too so I can hear him without monitor in event it stopped working. I sometimes put him in something striped or a dummy on his belly so I can see it move on monitor and know he’s breathing fine. X
