Does baby’s jaw/mouth look concerning? The tech said that he was laying on his hand the whole time so she couldn’t get the pictures she wanted. I’m just concerned about the structure of his mandible etc.

Is there a reason you're concerned? Are they redoing scans? I've not been trained on ultrasounds but as far as I can tell it looks pretty normal.

@Favi they said they’d need more pictures but that it was only because wouldn’t cooperate? But I’m not sure if that’s just what they say

Same as Favi I am not trained in ultrasound, but looks like maybe his mouth is just open. I have a few of my daughter where her mouth is open and I was worried but she is just fine. It could just be him yawning or drinking amniotic fluid while lying on his hand making it look worrisome, when all is fine. If you have a rescan remember to ask about that specifically to put your mind at rest.

Looks normal to me. I had two anatomy scans also, as the first one they couldn't get all the imaging they wanted, so I had another one several weeks later.

Nah that happens with babies. I specifically asked my nursing instructor (who worked in the mom baby world for 30 ish years) about this when I was in nursing school and she said redoing scans is pretty normal. A lot of times baby "won't cooperate" it just means baby wasn't in an ideal position for certain scans. These scans are a lot more detailed so if something was obstructing a major point they would need to be redone For my first she was always head down so around our 20 w scan/gender reveal scan we almost didn't find out the gender cuz baby's genitals were hiding right behind my belly button 🤦‍♀️ For my sister she had around 3 just to find out the gender cuz her daughter always had her hands in between her legs. So with the hand on the jaw its sounding like it's something similar. Bottom line, I wouldn't worry about it☺
