Relactation

I stopped breastfeeding around 4 weeks ago because my baby wouldn’t take to to my breast anymore. She flat out refused no matter what I tried. I’ve been pumping on and off and getting 30mls here and there but I’ve seemed to completely run dry now but I’m trying my best to get the breastmilk flowing again by making a conscious effort to pump every day but my breasts are just not producing anything at all now! Any tips on relactation would be super helpful girls 🥲

Can you ask your midwife or GP to refer you to a feeding specialist? That’s what I did, she advised me to do more shorter pumping sessions and lots of skin to skin to get them stimulated more and producing more x

Have you possibly tried power pumping??
I’ve also been told by LC’s and my midwife that skin to skin is so important for production! It send signals telling your body that there’s a baby and you need to produce food for them.
Also, make sure you are drinking 96oz+ in a day. The drink Body Armor is a life saver, they taste great and I absolutely love them for production, they have the regular and then one called “Flash I.V”, in my personal opinion it taste better than liquid I.V! Body Armor also makes water as well.

Im also relactating, pump pump pump! Youll need to pump every 2-3 hours to gain supply back, try 48 hours of pumping every 2 then pump every 2-3 and one power pump (between 1-5am ideally as prolactin is highest then) Second a referral to the feeding team or a lactation consultant privately (or both!) if you can afford. Supplementary nursing system so bottles can be given via breast for added nipple stimulation n even can be used with nipple shields (which are hugely helpful if its the teat feeling she wants) Rent a medela hospital grade pump (theres a code somewhere ill find that gives you £20 off so its £30 a month and you can return once supply is back)

Heres the info Pumps can be hired direct from Medela, https://www.medela- rental. co.uk/ who deliver to pump to your home. How much does it cost? Medela: £39 for the first 14 days with discount code MEDNICU including standard delivery.

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?
