Holiday Questions!

Hey All, I’m about to take my little one away to Mallorca next month for first time she’ll be around 6 months! I just had a few questions wondered if anyone could help with? Did you take a whole packet of nappies or buy some there? Any tips for when at airport? Did you find special baby sun cream or just a factor 50 ok? Did you keep baby in apartment at mid day, or how did you combat the heat? Thank you so much!

Also going to Mallorca at 9months - following for advice! Would like to know if you need to buy a travel pram or can take the normal one and what do you do about car seats? I know airlines allow 3 items I think

I'm also going to Spain in August. Personally I'd pack as many nappies as you can because its expensive over there. You can lie them flat on bottom of case. I use factor 50 on all my kids from they were babies but also use a parasol on pram and just try to sheikd them as much as possible, in shade whenever you can. A little fan that attaches to pram is good too. I'm staying on a resort and it's easy to walk back to room if I need to but he can sleep in pram if need to and I'll just keep him well covered. Ice lollies during day as well to keep him cool xx

@Emily all airlines will allow you to bring normal pram. I'm bring our normal pram that has carseat because we grab taxis on holidays. You can take your pram right down to the aeroplane doors and they'll take it off you before you board. The carseat I think will be taken off me at check in. X

Can I ask which area you’re staying in? I’m looking to book there too but struggling to find somewhere with transfer times less than an hour. My friend said nappies can be very expensive there so to order and collect from boots in the airport! X

My biggest tip is to take up a blow up baby bath. You can then put it next to your sun lounger with a little water in to let them splash and keep cool without having to go in the pool. Then they're also completely shaded x

@Ashleigh this is genius thank you!! ❤️

Following as we’re going to turkey next month, he’ll be turning 6 months when we’re out there & I have no idea what to pack 😂 x

We’re going away next month and most airlines will allow two items (we have 2pc pram and car seat that we’re taking) I would take nappies and milk as it’ll be expensive out there which you can collect in boots at the airport if short on space in your case. We’re in a villa but will let her sleep in the pram or take her in for naps if it’s too hot. With suncream we’re planning on getting La Roche posay spray suncream as we’ve heard a lot of good reviews on this one

Just came back from Spain with my 4.5month old. I took a whole pack of nappies with me and but it in my hold luggage and then had some nappies for the travelling in my baby bag that I had in addition to my hand luggage. You can take your stroller up to the plane stairs or if you get one that’s cabin approved can take it on the plane. My little girl just chilled in her stroller so had no issues at the airport. Had all her formula, nuby, hot water flask and bottles etc all in my bag, went through security and they just tested it with no issues. You have no weight limit on baby items for feeding. If I’m being honest I didn’t put any suncream on her as she was well Covered in shade but I did have child’s farm factor 50 with me. Baby was under her parasol in her stroller most of the day as we explored , left air con on during the day so was nice and cool When we got back in to have a change for the evening. My little girl is sooo hard work and honesty she was a dream on holiday x
