Rant

My MIL and FIL decided to come up- from Wednesday, bearing in mind it’s now Sunday- to help. I personally hate people moving my stuff and messing with my house. We don’t actually need the help tbh, but they’re here anyway. They kindly bought us some more furniture which was lovely, but also are wanting to help build it.. I love building this stuff with my partner as a bonding activity and I can’t get involved as there’s 4 of us and his parents want to be involved. I feel like a spare part whilst they’re moving and building shit, acting like I’m not really here! I’m just at the end of my tether, it’s constant back chat and snide remarks about where we live and what there is round here- they’ve moved my pram and car seat to the nursery- where I didn’t want it. And now the last straw is that she’s moved my outdoor cushion and I can’t for the life of me find it! I know I’m pregnant and hormonal, but she’s driving me insane. Does anyone else find this or am I being unreasonable!!

I think your hormones are just acting up. Get involved in the whole activity and take a chill pill

Thank you both! I had a big cry and feel better 😂 my partner is really supportive and has spoken to them which is helpful xx

I feel your anger, I like my own bubble with my partner. Their intentions sound good but I’d be feeling the same as you. I’ve taken to pulling silly faces when they aren’t looking 👀 Childish I know but helps my moods 😂. Also slagging off where you live isn’t nice, but any comments get to me at the minute anyway. I hope you found the outdoor cushion and didn’t attempt to suffocate anyone with it lol 🤍

Hahah that’s a good tactic- will do that next time!! Yeah we’re from London, and we moved up north- his parents can’t understand why so it’s just constant remarks and it really got under my skin this weekend!! Outdoor cushion found and no one was harmed 😂😂 xx

Id be annoyed too! Being pregnant and having in laws over is annoying af!
