You don't have to until it's outgrown. Height, weight, not fitting under the head rest, eyes/ears too high etc.
Thanks I will do that xx
Your car seat will have a weight or height limit so when baby exceeds that
Check the manual to see when your current seat is outgrown. My baby turned one today and he still has plenty of growing room in his infant carrier so we’re keeping him in that for a while 😊
Join car seat safety uk on Facebook if you’re in the UK and they can give you loads of advice of the fit of baby in car seat and what best seats to buy next 🫶🏼
Best to max out your infant carrier as long as possible for financial reasons but also it’s likely to give you more choice when buying your next seat. Check the height and weight limits on your current car seat.
It's best to max out infant carriers. When they reach the height or weight limit (whichever one first), head is level with or over the top of the shell, shoulders don't fit under the headhugger anymore if it cannot be removed, harness is dipping more than 2cm below shoulders and it can't be made any higher x
Have you removed the newborn insert yet? That’s made the car seat so much more spacious, not to mention there’s still one more belt slot we haven’t adjusted the belt to yet. Definitely going to be looking for feedback as well, but you should ideally have a bit more time with your current car seat beyond 6 months.
