I’m 7w4d and want to strengthen my core but I also know there are a lot of limitations on what you can/can’t do. I’m going to ask my OB next week but I’m feeling motivated now and want to start exercising. Anyone have ideas on core strengthening exercises? I have a bad ankle so anything involving a lot of balancing isn’t great - but am recovering quickly.
I haven’t stopped doing any of my core workouts. They are super helpful for pregnancy! There isn’t much that is off limits in terms of workouts in the first few months. Once we get to second trimester, avoid any workouts where you lay on you back.

I would focus more on core exercises that aren’t direct, ex. Squats, lunges. Anything that requires you to stabilize your trunk. I am not going to be doing any sit ups or crunches from here on out just to be on the safe side.
