Am I feeling movement or not?

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I have not felt any movement within my tummy from baby boy, but I swear I can feel movement with my hand if I lay it flat on the bottom of my belly and wait awhile. Would it make sense to feel movement from the outside but not inside or is it just wishful thinking/ feeling?

Probably the official answer is that feeling movement from outside should be harder, but honestly I’m now 30 weeks and even now I sometimes miss his movements unless I touch my belly with my hand. It can also be that you touching and putting pressure makes him move more.

If it makes you feel better, I didn’t feel any movement until much further along than 20 weeks. Was more like 25/26 when I got flutters and now at 35 weeks can’t stop her moving!

Also 20 weeks and felt first slamming kick in the side this morning 😅 flutters have been building, usually when I have a drink of water and lie on my left side. I've been told by women who've had multiple pregnancies that every one is different. Relax if you can and do a body scan - it might help to feel more little movements on the inside

21 weeks. No movement (only motion, if that makes sense). My placenta is also in front so it’s serving as a wall between me and baby so it’ll take more growth on her end for me to feel kicks.

OG poster here. I felt him kick on Mother's Day and my husband felt it too. Best mothers day present ever.
