How to give probiotics to baby

My 6 week old baby is exclusively breastfed. We want to give her probiotic drops but don't know how. The bottle says to drop it directly to her mouth but it needs to be shaken quite a bit so that doesn't work.
Any help would be great. Thank you!

Try dropping onto your nipple whilst BF 😊

You could put it on a spoon and feed it to her that way

You can get medicine dummies- not sure if it’ll work for a small quantity of liquid though?

I shake the bottle first and then fill the pipette up to the line and drop directly into my LOs mouth. X

If you’re breast feeding you really don’t need them as baby will get all of that from your milk! They also get a LOT of gut flora as they’re coming down through the birth canal x

We do vitamin D drops by putting it on my finger and letting her suck it off. I tried on my nipple and she was outraged and refused to nurse. Don’t mess with the boobs lol

We did spoon feeding for vit D and probiotic. At first our daughter was making cute disapproving faces but now she loves licking the spoon!

They make tiny little bottles for medicine!

Hi Meltem, I saw this trick online where they would give babies medicine (in this case the drops) through a pacifier that had a whole in it. Which I’m sure you can look up for more accuracy. That way the baby thinks they’re sucking on the soother, but they get the drops at the same time.
