Fever, 17 weeks pregnant
Hi ladies, I’m 17 weeks pregnant and have the most awful fever ever. Yesterday I couldn’t even get out of bed all day. I have sweats and chills, headache, full body pains, cough and blocked nose. All Covid tests are negative so I’m not sure if it’s flu or Covid, I haven’t felt this poorly in years. I’m so worried the fever is bad for baby? Plus my pregnancy symptoms have gone, prior to this my breasts were so sore I couldn’t touch them and they are fine today. Has anyone experienced this? I’ve got a GP appointment this afternoon.

Hey! So sorry you feel this way! I’ve just had covid (positive on Monday) my boyfriend started to feel the exact same as you did Tuesday morning but his test didn’t come up positive until this morning! How long since you started feeling this way? You may become positive in the next few days! Symptom wise I’m 17 weeks and my sore boobs were a constant for me up until week 13 and it went! Your symptoms will start to go now as you get later on so try not to stress too much!! Xx
My friend didn't test positive for 4 days after her symptoms started so its definitely worth still testing,get plenty of rest, drink plenty and you can take paracetemol to ease any pains and fever. Hope you are feeling better soon. Xx
