My hospital left it on. They dried baby off and got the thicker stuff off but when I looked into it I was happy they left it as is. Most of it soaked into his skin in 3 days and by 7 it was all gone. I know it helps boost his immunity to have it and provided a protective barrier in case anyone carried anything without knowing.

It's great for the babies! I have C-sections and they clean him off but I don't allow any bathing in the hospital ☺️

Leave it on, my doula explained to me that it’s really good for baby and it will soak in within a week

It’s in my birth plan to leave my baby’s on their skin when i give birth

I did it at home, probably like 2 weeks later. I'm definitely in the minority with how long I wait tho 😅
