Huckleberry for help with sleep

Has anyone used the huckleberry app to help their babies sleep? 😴 just wondering if it’s worth it or not ?

I do it for naps, the sweet spot is really helpful!

Absolute game changer for me. Helps me predict my baby’s nap times and realise her sleepy cues. 90% of the time, it gets her nap predictions bang on to a point where I can be driving somewhere and she’s awake and the moment her sweet spot time hits, she’s asleep! It’s happened more than once, I don’t quite believe it 🤣

Sometimes it’s off if something is bothering her, like this heat recently, but generally it’s very good at predicting when baby will start to get tired. It’s also been a godsend for bedtime as well

You can try the free version to begin with. I found it too much effort to put all the sleep and feeding times in and just tracked over a few days. Main takeaway that worked for me was to not let him be awake for more than one and a half hours. This has improved things a lot for me

I will give the free version a go first. My problem is he’s non stop hungry 😂

Are you breastfeeding? Not sure the app can help much with it but I might be wrong. Seemed to me they give more sleep support. My little one feeds every 2 hours sometimes less and I was told it can just be like that. Other options are looking into tongue tie (we had one and they played it down, I know many people whose babies had severe tongue ties didn’t get diagnosed only when they pushed for it.) or latching issues. If you haven’t tried you can try to always feed from both sides as well. With formula I’m not familiar so don’t know about that.

I mean it’ll be difficult to log all his feeds but he is breastfed and I’m happy to feed him when he wants. I’m looking at helping his sleep as he wakes up grumpy most the time and is still tired

Ah and also if they don’t drink enough from one breast they might get too much foremilk which gives quick sugar boosts but less fatty/ rich milk. Some people do blockfeeding to help with that. Can be if you have a lot of milk supply and also if the poop is Green. Good luck, hope you find a solution that works for you!

It’s definitely better for sleep tracking than feeding. Can be useful to ensure you’re properly swapping breasts each time and feeding evenly from each one, but if you’re feeding on demand it won’t tell you when to feed

I use it and if I’m honest I go back and forth as to whether I should on a daily basis.
The sweet spot is good but it’s almost too good to the point where if you’re doing something like washing up, I’m suddenly feeling like I have to stop to get him to sleep that instant.

I’m a data girlie at heart, my normal job is very data driven so I enjoy the stats but I’m torn as it can take away my instinct. Once you start logging it’s hard to stop :/

The best part I find is part of the paid version, your Home Screen can show a quick widget of when they last fed/how long they’ve been asleep for so when I wake up in the night, I glance at my phone and if he’s only been asleep for an hour, I know it’s unlikely milk he needs for example

Love it, the sweet spots are bang on most of the time and takes the mental load off by remembering what time he woke up, or which boob he was feeding on.

The best app ever.

I found it sometimes good at predicting and sometimes not.. it's kinda hit and miss!

I did the trial but tbh my baby needs to nap 1.5 - 2 hrs after she wakes from her last nap and no later then 5pm (we start bedtime at 7 ish and sleep by 8pm) so I just read her cues, encourage her to nap 1.5-2hrs after her last nap. Found I don’t need an app to tell me that xx

I found the pampers app to be more accurate than huckleberry in terms of readjusting for naps and night time sleep
