I personally think it's fine (I'm in the UK) but I know some people are funny about it. Just wanted to know what the % was either way

I mean sure, why not. We didn't really have any though. Maybe tankinis

I wouldn't with my daughter but if you want to 🤷

Like a 2 piece? Yeah its fine kinda has been for ages

I think it’s weird. Why does so much skin need to be exposed.

I would at my house pool but in public nope. Too many creeps out there.

There is no reason for a toddler to be wearing a bikini. Absolutely not.

Depends on the bikini as well, but why not?

If were at the beach or public place no but at home yes absolutely half the time my kids are naked when we're outside but I live in a rural area so no one is seeing them

I have. We live by the beach in the uk and it’s easier to get dressed discretely and go to the toilet. That said I wouldn’t for swimming lessons.
Yes there are creeps out there but why should that dictate what me or my daughter wear. That creep will still be there if she’s wearing a costume.

My daughter has worn two pieces since birth. But none of those weird ones that I saw on here a couple weeks ago. Like a string one lol. Didn’t even know those existed.

Actually more ok with a toddler being naked than sexualized by a bikini. Sadly, clothes aren’t just clothes, there’s meaning and context attached. Besides, they just seem uncomfortable and impractical for kids.
That said, if we ran into a family dressing their kids that way, I wouldn’t judge because I know not everyone sees it that way.

The number one thing for me is safety in the sun so I wouldn’t think it was ok just from that standpoint. I mean yes someone can apply sunscreen really well but I think it’s more likely you’d miss spots vs covering up more with rashguards, sleeves, etc. So I don’t even personally consider other reasons why it would or wouldn’t be ok to wear a bikini because the sun is enough reason not to.

I mean as long as it covered everything then sure. If it’s like super tiny up top then probably not
@GMF sun protection is valid, we've only had our little one in full cover for this reason, but she recently pointed to one two piece and wanted to buy it so I was weighing it up
@Francesca I think the comments show some of the reasons, some people think a bikini is sexual, I don't but I know people have some strong opinions about it
@Brittany I'm sure there are some that are weird but I've seen some cute ones that seem age appropriate to me

Ya there’s plenty out there. My daughter just got two new ones for Easter. They’re a bit of an athletic style. Super cute. Easier for her to go pee in too 😅

I think it’s fine tbh but unfortunately the world we live in…. There’s too many creeps out there and I wouldn’t be comfortable with her wearing one in public

Kids can't but woman have no problems showing there tit's and ass in binki at the water park, but that's okay.
It's a bikini It's a piece of clothing and nothing more.

I have a boy but I opt for a long sleeve shirt and swim trunks and if I had a girl I’d still opt for at least a long sleeve top bc of my worries of sunburn even with sunscreen

I think it’s unnecessary. I’ve just got my LO loads of long sleeve/ trousered swim suits 😂😂 extra protection from the sun, yes please.

At home fine, beach or pool it’s unnecessary and a lot of them are weirdly sexual designs

A two piece like a tankini or the long sleeve tops? Yes
A bikini? No
There’s literally no reason for it, they need sun protection and we also have companies over sexualizing babies making bikinis with the “scrunch” butt. It’s disgusting.

I think it’s fine I love seeing their big ol pudgy bellies
It’s not like it’s a string bikini
It’s a kids two piece it’s cute

the bellies 😫 so funny and so cute

the bellies are really so cute 😭

There are just so many creeps out there. At home she can where whatever. But outside no.

My fiance would say hell no lol. Costumes are better anyway, more coverage!

We opt for rash guards. Less sunscreen is needed which is good when you have a squirmy toddler who doesn't want to wear it.
I can see doing a 2 piece for an older toddler who is potty trained. Very practical

No for a couple reasons. 1)the sun can harm their sensitive skin so more coverage helps. 2) some “bikinis” are inappropriate. Not all. There are lots of 2 pieces that are appropriate-even so I don’t like them due to #1

Ive no idea why they even make them. My child won’t wear such things until teen.

I was just looking at toddler and girl clothes the other day and I was thinking "why are we so obsessed with making then look like little women" then I realized most designers and companies are men

I wouldn’t put my daughter in a bikini, just doesn’t sit right with me… but that’s just personal preference 🤷🏼♀️

I need an i don't care at all what others dress their children in option.
Whilst it is a no for me and my kids, so long as it's warm enough and they're suncreamed I don't see why anyone feels OK to judge.

I got my baby a 1 piece standard swimming costume for our 1st holiday, then when we started swimming lessons I felt she was underdressed cos all the other babies had the long sleeved, long legged suits! I ended up buying that after a while lol.
I think Bikinis are for adults, i dont even think a pre teen should wear one, a one piece is enough lol

I think it’s odd to tell them not to
