Amino acid formula vs hydrolyzed - tips to make it more palatable?

Nothing unfortunately and I wouldn’t worry too much their taste buds are not like ours. My boy is on nutramigen and he physically gagged when I first gave it to him, skip months down the line and he’s fine goes mental when he sees his bottle and downs it x

We use pepti 1, we used to do half/half of BM and formula and she was ok with it, I just use pepti now and she still takes it fine, it was hard doing 50/50 all the time though, bottles and pumping was just my life for about 3 months, if you want to build a supply you could always make the breast milk the majority of the feed like 70/30 etc and store any left over breast milk in the freezer as you still want to empty your breasts to make sure your supply keeps up x

I'm hoping to just use formula now and then, not to switch to it completely with my six month old.
She refused to take the formula and held out for breast milk. I guess I'll try it again. I was just hoping that the hydrolyzed ones are more palatable than the amino acid kind.

Can I ask how you have got on? Due to start neocate tomorrow and dreading it

We gave up on the neocate and are sticking with EBF and introducing solids. I have no idea why our doc went straight to that instead of the hydrolyzed formulas. The neocate smelled and tasted disgusting. Mixing it with breastmilk didn't help.

Our EBF baby was prescribed Nutramigen. He wouldn't take it on its own but has taken it 50/50 with breast milk 🙌🏽 Going to start reducing the amount of BM until it's just formula for just in case situations x
