Home fetal Doppler

If you get a home Doppler they are not recommended to use for reassurance but fun. The thing is unless you know how to use it properly it may difficult for you to find heartbeat or differ between what is babies heartbeat and the blood flow from the cord. I have one but only because I know how to use it and don’t use it for long periods of time.

Bad idea in my view.

I’ve heard of so many women panicking because they can’t find a heart beat, only to end up in the emergency hospital and be told everything is fine.

Im 10 weeks tomorrow and we saw and heard our babies heartbeat yesterday at an early scan we went to so I think my partner just got excited and thought how nice it would be to be able to hear the heartbeat at home 💓

Everyone will have there own opinions.. but if it's something you want to invest in get it. I have one used it a few times nit much but it deff help me feel better if I felt like something was wrong.. it could be tricky tho when using it cus it picks up all the sounds . So you just have to know the difference i watched youtube videos on people using them. But I also waited till I was 25 weeks to use mine at that point there heart beat in my opinion is easier to hear
If you do purchase one i would just wait a little and dont use it to much I used mine like once a week or 2 apart.

If something’s wrong with your baby you wouldn’t be able to tell. I’ve had ER nurses not be able to get a heartbeat because they’re not trained to use them. So yeah I would get it for fun but that’s it

So I just bought one and received it yesterday. I used it for about 30 mins becyI couldn’t find the heart beat and after using it a friend told me it was dangerous and now Im worried. Any thoughts? Now Im scared I hurt the baby 😔
