Right now we get up at 6, her first nap starts between 8:30/9 depending on her grump levels. She’ll nap until about 11. Then I put her to nap from 2:30/3-4:30/5. Then she goes to bed at 7:30/8 and wakes up at 6 am. Is she having enough wake windows? Should I cut back naps? If we skip the second nap she gets super crabby. And I’ve tried one middle of the day nap but that doesn’t quite work great either.

Learn more about our guidelines. My first is 22 months and he’s been having 1 nap s day for many months now, at least 6 months.
He wakes at 630-730
Naps start anywhere from 1030-1130 and he naps for however long he wants.
Bed is around 8pm.
I just push him to that midday nap, even if he gets cranky, but if he woke up super early like today (520) I still put him down at 10am.
DW about wake windows or what anyone else is doing. If she's sleeping well and happy then keep doing what you're doing until it's not working. If you'd rather she didn't wake at 6am I'd try tweaking things e.g capping the naps at this age because that's quite a lot of daytime sleep, but if you like the routine as is and she's happy it's all good
It just sounds like she’s really high sleep needs if she’s still on 2 naps and sleeps that much in 24 hours.
If you find the bedtime is getting pushed later and later, then really try to cut to one nap a day. Does she sleep through the night?
@Jadie yes she sleeps through the night without issue.
The wake window seems very short for a 20m who should be able to do up to 5.5 hrs awake. Secondly, from about 18m most kids are only on one longer nap? Nap and bed times should also be more consistent by this age. I have an 18m who wakes up at 6:30 and who has one nap from 11:30-1:30pm (2 hours max) and has a bed time of 7/7:30pm).
My daughter stopped napping completely by this age 😅
Figure it a 1 nap routine 👍🏻
You need to cut out that first nap and do a nap around 12-3 and try to get a little later of a wake up, at that age she should only need one nap a day. My daughter wakes at 7:30 and naps 12:00-3:00 and goes to bed at 8 and it’s been like this since 12 months.
