Hey, I've just got out of a relationship with my child's dad. He's a covert narcissist and has made my life hell.
After he hit me and after he used our child to try and manipulate me I contacted DV line and they advised me to do a non-mollestation order.
Has anyone done one of these?
I just want peace and happiness for my son, and I feel like if I file a NM order it will put me in a dangerous situation and then it's only for 6-12months? My main concern is my child's custody and safety...
Has anyone been through this? Please advise?

If you contact a company called NCDV they are really helpful with the whole process and help you to prepare statements and evidence needed. If you need any more info my inbox is always open happy to help if I can xx

Application referral for the above advice is on this link. Maybe ask them about legalities and the power that a non-mol holds.
Thank you @Jordan unfortunately I feel this one is tricky because at the moment we share parental responsibility and there's no custody arrangement so I can't just avoid him completely... And I feel like it's going to provoke him if I do this
You can have it stipulated that contact be through a 3rd party. Slightly different, I have a restraining order against my oldest child’s dad, but it stipulates he is not to contact me but arrangements can be made via a third party for contact with the child of the family
It’s a difficult situation definitely worth giving ncdv a call and asking the question they should be able to help. Obviously depending on the situation as far as I am aware you should be able to also apply for a non molestation order on behalf your child but obviously that would depend on wether it’s relevant to your case or not xxx
It’s a bit difficult with non molestation orders to say exactly what the restrictions would be as they vary case to case. After you’ve made your application you’ll have to go to court and it would be down to the court to decide what restrictions are put in place xxx
