Can’t you just call him Ollie? Don’t see the point in lengthening it just for the sake of it if you’re going to be calling him Ollie anyway ☺️

We have an Oliver. Don’t see a problem with it being common? I was a Sarah in the 90s so shared my name with a load of other kids, never bothered me.

We have a boy and decided to name him Oliver but we call him Ollie. No regrets even if it’s common it was our top choice, go with what you like!!

Ollie/ Oliver are both extremely common where I am but if you like Ollie then just go with Ollie? :) I loved the long version of our daughter's name however we thought realistically are we ever going to use it and it was no so we used the nickname on birth certifcate

I agree with what others said, if you like Ollie go for Ollie. I liked Joe but not Joseph so when I was pregnant I said I’d just name the baby Joe if it was a boy 🤷‍♀️

My partners youngest brother is just Olly :)

I wanted Oliver but knew my husband would shorten it to Ollie and it reminded me of Laurel and Hardy 😆 So it became a middle name.

We named our son just Ollie 🥰 we personally weren’t a fan of Oliver

I was one of like 15 Madison’s and always hated it so we’re trying to give him something a little more unique!! And my husband likes longer names (like Madison) with nicknames (like maddi)😊
