What do contractions feel like? NHS website says intense period pains. My mum described them as stomach tightening and contracting.
I've had really intense period pains on and off all day lasting between 20 and 30 seconds each. The pains are uncomfortable and painful- according to NHS website braxton hicks aren't painful.
Am I in early labour??

Mine started as period pains. With for you to notice the cramping etc. then it felt like I needed a poo - rush stomach ache feeling. Then the stomachache got to the point I couldn't sit through it, wanted to move about and then I realised they were regular pains x

Mine felt like intense period cramps the whole way through labour, I never felt them higher up in my stomach once, if anything it was most painful in my hips towards the end. Definitely sounds like labour! Good luck and congrats in advance xx
Intense period pains across my bump and into my back. With my second, when labour was really close, it’s like they drained from my stomach into the top of my legs, like my hips were being pulled
