We might be having a c-section. I've not looked into it AT ALL and I wouldn't know where to start. Those who have had/are about to have one, is there anything you think I need to know? Incl. Like changes to the hospital bag etc

I’ve got the frida mom belly binder and silicone strips for the scar. Other than that I’ve just packed the same and made sure that I have high waisted trousers and pants so not to irritate the scar. Apparently chewing gum helps with trapped wind straight after the surgery so I packed some of that too x
I had an emergency csection in 2022, lots of pillows to keep you sat upright! In hospital and at home, laying flat is pretty much impossible. Plus, high waist or maternity clothes to keep your scar clear and aired out. I couldn't wear anything low rise until my scar had healed. I used a long Nighty at hospital instead of PJs too. Take a few extra bits of clothes/PJs too incase you're in hospital a little longer after birth (I was in for about 48 hours after baby was born).
If you're breastfeeding and don't already have one then I'd recommend a V shaped pillow or feeding pillow too, to rest baby on so they're not putting weight against your incision.
The one thing I regretted not having at home after my first was a changing table, I really struggled reaching over to change baby's nappy on the bed/floor when my scar was sore. Make sure you're stocked up on pain killers too x
A big water bottle for when you’re at the hospital! I got my other half to fill it before he left and it lasted me the night so I didn’t have to ask any of the midwife’s or struggle to get it myself. Long chargers and a portable charger that you can easily access.
With my first I continued wearing my maternity pants and leggings for a while, especially the first week or so to keep anything tight off the scar.
