I’m a bit torn on what to do at the moment . I’m currently 36+4 , due in July. I had a previous c section, non emergent but was due to a failed induction .
Originally, I was absolutely desperate to have a vbac and I really looked into it and was pretty much set.
However , at my 36 week growth scan, I found out my baby boys current estimated weight is 7lb 14oz which is rather terrifying.
I did the glucose tolerance test back in April and this came back as normal , however the hospital have booked me in for a 2nd one on Friday (13th) as they are concerned that my babies weight could be down to undiagnosed gestational diabetes .
I understand growth scans aren’t 100% accurate which is why I’m asking for other mums opinions/ experiences . Honestly anything is appreciated as I really don’t know what to do .

Learn more about our guidelines. At my growth scans, baby was measuring small gestational age, like weeks behind where he should have been, so I ended up under increased monitoring with weekly scans, and when he was born at 39 weeks via planned section he weighed a healthy 6lbs 15oz.
I had an emergency C-section 15 mo ago and in 2 mo doing a vbac. I was on the fence but I want my body to birth naturally, skip surgery recovery and my medical team is REALLY encouraging it. Risks like rupture are less than 1%. I've naturally birthed 8lb babies before.
Don’t be worried in size of baby, it can be totally wrong and some women birth 10/11lb+ babies naturally, the feeling of a natural birth is so nice, and I’m hoping for my second natural, I bounced back and felt healed so quickly, and with the added responsibility of your first child it would be a easier recovery as that’s why I’m hoping for natural even more this time around x
