Hello! New to Montessori and was wondering — how do you implement Montessori principles in your home nursery for young babies under 1 year? Do you recommend using cots or floor beds with your babies? How do you organise shelving/toys/mirrors/ etc? Would love to see photos as well — thinking of getting rid of my cot, putting my mattress on the floor and rearranging my nursery to fully embrace Montessori principles for my 7 month old but a bit concerned if she’s too young to be sleeping on the floor with shelves of toys etc around?

Learn more about our guidelines.I am curious about this as well! My baby has a montessori room but co sleeps with me, I'd like to transition him to his own bed within the next half year. He's 6.5 months now 😊😊 I hope someone else will be able to inform you and me while I keep an eye on your question 😄
Hi I would also like to use Montessori with my little one, who is only 2 weeks old. I used to work as a Montessori teacher but with 3 to 6 year olds so trying to figure out how to provide Montessori with babies.
This is a great book, which explains everything.
Montessori is basically about preparing the right environment that supports indepenence, following the child’s lead and giving them choices. This book explains all.
