So I'm due to start a job next week as I've recently moved in job 1 I'll be earning £1365 PM and I've just got a second job in a bar for 4.5 hours per week and in the job I'll be earning £214 PM surely there's a way to sort Mt tax out for this because ive done a calculator and the amount of taxed paid for the aecond job hardly makes it seem worth it!! Any suggestions?
Thank you

Learn more about our guidelines. You’re using your tax free allowance in the first job, so you’ll pay 20% on the entire second job salary.
This is correct, other than checking you’re on the correct tax code for the first job there’s not much you can do
@Steph Ah ok it does make sense but it's hardly worth doing it. I now see why most people don't get second jobs I'm just doing it for a bit of socialisation and extra cash.
Best of finding a cash in hand job like food delivery that way you won’t be taxed so much! It’s soo wrong xx
@Karla I would say majority of Indian and Chinese are cash in hand, places like domino’s want you on the books! Money is tight for us atm even we’re looking at doing some cash in hand the tax is ridiculous! My partner already gets taxed £90 a week and then national insurance on top 😩😩😩
