My little one has been going to daycare for over a year now. He is almost 2 and was really well adjusted. He would cry at drop off, but between dropping him off in the room and signing him in, he would be fine. A new owner came in 6 months ago and has restructured and removed some of his favourite educators. Many of the previous children from there have moved on. There is one educator who is still there that he is fond of. Over the last few months, the crying at drop off has worsened. He will cry for a lot longer and as soon as I pull into the driveway, he gets upset. He isn't calming down by the time I leave and have to go to work. I know that it could be his separation anxiety being developed. I was wondering if any other mums were dealing with this or if it got better? Should i be looking for a different daycare or will I just make it worse in a completely new environment?

Learn more about our guidelines.I’ve heard of some people drawing a little red heart on their kids hands as a hug button so they can press it and then you know they’re thinking of you because you draw one on you too. Not sure how helpful it would be at this age but it might help 💕
