We r planning a wedding and im having doubts. He’s just selfish, like it’ honestly pulling teeth to get any kind of help around our house. I work remote and have a flexible job but tht doesn’t mean i don’t need any support. He takes forever doing outdoor stuff and I think he’s just doing tht to get out of helping out inside. Advice?

If you have doubts I would seriously sit down and think about why your having doubts
Don’t do it. Listen to your gut
Ik you probably won’t listen to us but listen to yourself! That kind of man is never a good husband or father
If you’re already calling him selfish and not even married yet then don’t do it. Don’t marry someone already knowing they are selfish. You can’t turn back time hun. Many women didn’t know HOW selfish he is, until it’s too late. You can try to avoid an unhappy marriage though. My man is the most patient the most selfless person ever (towards me) I didn’t have cold feet or doubts marrying him.
No doubts, he's the most amazing husband and father
Thanks yall. I’m suprised no one on here has had doubts but that’s beside the point. I don’t want him not in my life but his selfishness is very tough to deal w. He’s loyal and caring (and like a step dad to my daughter) and wants kids w me. but I don’t know if any of that is enough to have a marriage and then kids. If he doesn’t change and then I have kids w him it’s going to make my life 10 times harder than it already is.
Honestly a lot of selfish men only want kids to keep you locked in with them for at least 18 years… it’s not about love it’s about control…
@Lyss i feel like he’s not trying to trap me but there is something weird about it. He has been wayyy more about having kids than a wedding. Like he would love to try rn for kids but marriage has not been his highest priority in our relationship. We r only getting married soon bc he knows I won’t have kids if I’m not married and he wants kids soon. I’m about to just put our wedding planning on hold bc there is just something not right. We want to build a life together but idk. He needs to work on himself
Why do you think he is more interested in having kids than a wedding? Cuz yeah that’s weird
None
@Lyss he’s in his mid late 30s and feels his clock is ticking. He don’t want a baby’s in his 40s. That’s wht he says
