First of all …can someone tell me how the heck we come out of this Alive? Is everyone else okay ? Because the struggle is real …how long did this last for everyone and it ended? And any tips that works? I feel like “ routine” “ structure” is not an option she is all over the place it feels impossible 🤦🏽♀️

Mines has lasted for nearly 3 weeks now and just seems to be getting worse 🫠 but hopefully that means it’s maybe coming to an end as the saying goes 🤣 x
It lasted about 4/5 weeks for us. We had just got to a good place with only 2 wake ups in the night when it hit us hard. It was pure survival in those weeks.
No tips, just know that it will end at some point and do whatever you can to get through it.
It lasted 3 weeks for us! No tips either apart from it isn’t forever despite it feeling like it is going to be. Personally I just did whatever it took to get her back to sleep when she woke every hour I just fed her back to sleep each time as it was the quickest way for both her and I to get any sort of sleep. I hope it ends for you soon!
It lasted 4 weeks for us, do whatever you need to get through it and try really hard to not compare with others (easier said than done!). It's tough but it definitely is just a phase and things are much more normal on the other side x
Almost exactly 2 months for us... I thought it'd never end, it was so hard
When you actually look into the 4 month sleep regression it all comes down to the baby learning to self settle themselves between sleep cycles. When babies wake from one sleep cycle they seek the same soothing method/association to settle them to sleep initially. For example if you use a Dummy to soothe them when they wake and the Dummy isn't there they may cry until the Dummy is re-placed, same if they are normally rocked to sleep or have a bottle, if that makes sense. Unfortunately I don't have any tips as I was very lucky that my little boy was able to self soothe from 10 weeks and only regressed for a week before reverting to business as usual. A bedtime routine does help though. For us we normally do a bath at around 6pm followed by a bottle and story, then bed by 7pm. Repeated in the exact same order every night, he soon associated bath time with his last bottle of the day and bedtime and sleeps through happily until 6am 🙂
@Shellie was going to say exactly the same! Self settling massively helps with navigating through the regression more smoothly and quickly z
The question is, how do you help them to learn how to self settle? 😩
My lo is now 5.5 months and we have just survived this. It lasted for around 3 weeks I’d say and he’s still not back to 1 wake during the night, he’s still doing 2 but the first is around 11pm now and then 4am, which is way more manageable then 3/4times a night 😅 daytime naps are another thing entirely though.. we’re still struggling and he’s sleeping for 30 mins at most, 3x a day! So he’s sooooo groggy come bedtime.
Self settling is the key is totally get it but I have no idea how too , we do rock our baby to sleep so I do get she’ll wake up and expect the same to go back down but I have no clue she’s a very high energy alert baby so soon as we put her down she’s up awake no matter how long we leave her before putting her in her cot , last night she was asleep 4 hours before up every hour from 4 times then up at 6 she did go to sleep soon as I rocked her and put her down but up again , I’ve left her in her cot if she’s awake and not crying to see if she’ll go back down but ends up crying after a while , she’ll be 5 months on the 10th seems to have got worse last week or so so I’m praying it won’t last ages! Her naps are all over the place so it’s hard to get into a proper bedtime routine but it is similar times and bath every night before bed too
